Home sweet home.

La settimana scorsa sono stata invitata a cena da una coppia canadese che si è trasferita a Bruxelles da poco. 

La prima volta che vado a casa di qualcuno porto sempre un pensiero (non sempre fatto da me purtroppo..) per inaugurare la casa e questa volta ho optato per un home decor.

Come già sapete ogni mese preparo un kit per un gruppo di cui faccio parte: Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia e anche questo mese avevo inserito una carta con le casette, acquistata l’anno scorso, che mi aveva preso il cuore, ma che non ero mai riuscita ad utilizzare.

Dovevo assolutamente usarla e quale modo migliore se non per inaugurare una casa nuova?

Last week I was invited to dinner by a Canadian couple who recently moved to Brussels.

The first time I go to someone's home I always bring a gift (not always made by me, unfortunately ..) to inaugurate the house and this time I opted for a home decor.

As you already know every month I prepare a kit for a group to which I belong: Crea il tuo kit con Angela e Giorgia and also this month I inserted a card with the houses, bought last year, which had taken my heart, but that I had never been able to use.

I absolutely had to use it and what better way than to inaugurate a new house?

Non avendo fustelle l’ho realizzata a mano.

Ho utilizzato un bazzil 30,5x30,5 e l’ho cordonato sui quattro lati a cm. 2 - 4 - 6  e 8.

Mi piace vedere il bordo spesso della cornice.

Ho poi realizzato la struttura porta cornice con del cartoncino spesso circa mm. 2 (tipo le copertine degli album da disegno). La struttura è la stessa che si utilizza per realizzare i minialbum.

Dopo aver rivestito la struttura ho incollato sul retro la mia cornice.

I did not die cut, I made it by hand.

I used a bazzil 30.5x30.5 and I corded on all four sides cm. 2 - 4 - 6 and 8.

I like to see the thick border of the frame.

I then made the frame with thick cardboard about mm. 2 (like the covers of sketchbooks). The structure is the same that is used to make minialbums.

After coating the frame I glued my frame on the back.

All’interno ho incollato un quadrato di carta con le casette. Ne ho ritagliata qualcuna che ho incollato ai lati della cornice ed all’esterno.Ho anche tagliato ed incollato un pezzo di bazzil quadrato con timbrata una macchina fotografica, giusto per far capire dove mettere la foto.

Per l’esterno ho incollato sempre la stessa carta e, con il timbro  Cadre carrè di Florileges Design ho creato una cornice shacker. All’interno , oltre a mettere le paillettes, ho incollato altre casette.

Inside I glued a square of cardstock with the houses. I cut out some of them that I glued to the sides of the frame and outside. I also cut and glued a piece of square bazzil with a camera stamped, just to make it clear where to put the photo.

For the exterior I always glued the same cardstock and, with the Cadre carrè stamp of Florileges Design, I created a shacker frame. Inside, in addition to putting the sequins, I glued other houses.

Nella parte in alto della costa della struttura ho fatto due buchi, dove ho inserito un filo dorato con una nappina. Ho preferito lasciarla all’interno così per nascondere i buchi all’esterno ho rivestito la costa con un pezzo di cartoncino bianco ondulato.

E per chiuderlo un bel nastro dorato.

In the upper part of the coast of the structure I made two holes, where I inserted a golden thread with a  minitassel. I preferred to leave it inside so to hide the holes outside I covered the coast with a piece of white corrugated cardboard.

And to close it a beautiful golden ribbon.
